Dexter, Madeleine Grace – 94 of Ottawa, Ontario passed away March 25, 2013 in Alta Vista Manor in Ottawa. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Myrtle (Weir) Dexter of Milton, Queens County. She received her early education at Milton School. She moved to Smith’s Cove, Digby County and cared for an elderly lady for several years. Later, she attended Mt. Allison University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. She taught in several private schools and then went to British Columbia and attended the University of British Columbia to take her education degree. Later she returned to Ottawa and was head of the Art Department in High School in Gateneau, Quebec. She also took her masters of Arts Degree at San Michael in Mexico. She loved all mediums of Art and pursued many of them throughout the years. Madeleine is survived by sisters Joyce Denna, Vancouver, B.C; Joan Deeks, Milton; Barbara, Ridgewood Retirement Home, Bridgewater; sister-in-law Anne Dexter, Digby; brothers Bill (Norma) Kenora, Ontario; Warren (Florence) Milton; Noel (Jean) Beach meadows and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Doris Roditi, brothers Paul and Harvey. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.
