GINTER - William Ginter, age 92, passed away on Friday, March 29th, 2013 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. William was born to Abraham and Anna Ginter on September 9th, 1920 in Chortitz, SK. William married Helen Janzen on May 6th, 1945 at the family home in Chortitz. Together William and Helen had three children, a son, Bill and two daughters, Leona, and Marilyn. William worked for the C.P.R. for 31 years and then farmed until his health began to fail. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and gardening. Time spent with family was the most important thing for him to do. William is survived by his wife, Helen, of 67 years; son, Bill (Betty) of Chortitz; and two daughters, Leona (Ed Wiens) of Chortitz, and Marilyn (Randy Wall) of Schoenfeld; nine grandchildren and spouses; twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Jake (Annie); sisters, Kaye Neustaeter, Margaret Janzen, Stella (Frank Dyck); sisters-in-laws, Tena Ginter and Hilda Ginter. He was predeceased by parents, Abe and Anna Ginter; brothers, Abe (in infancy), John, Isaac, and Abe; sisters, Helen, Mary and Anne; as well as numerous in laws. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1:30 pm from the Sommerfeld Church, Schoenfeld, SK, with Rev. Abe Funk officiating. The Interment Service was held at the Schoenfeld Cemetery, Schoenfeld, SK with the following grandsons serving as pallbearers, Stacey Ginter, Stanley Ginter, Stevan Wiens, Michael Wiens, Steve Ebner, and Tom Sebo.
