It is with great regret and sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Harry Romanchuk at the William Booth Palliative Care Center in Regina following a battle with cancer.
Harry\'s life began in Strong Pine, Saskatchewan on May 13th, 1933. There, he attended school, worked and enjoyed life with his family. He was able to make wonderful memories and a lifetime worth of friends by travelling and working throughout Northern Saskatchewan and the North West Territories. Harry eventually moved into Prince Albert and went on to own and operate R&T Trucking. He was fortunate for the opportunity to work along side his brothers, nephews and friends at Aallcann Wood Suppliers. Harry loved all aspects of the forestry business, from locating wood, setting up camps, processing and then distributing wood products across Canada. Throughout his life, Harry brought laughter and joy to all those he met, through his generosity, hospitality, humour and memorable quick wit. Harry enjoyed life; always kept a positive outlook and considered all to be his friends. For recreation, Harry loved listening to country and bluegrass music and watch baseball games. His greatest happiness was found through socializing with his many friends and ever loved family. Harry is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Jackie as well as his children, Bonnie (Rick) Ismond, Larry (Dolly) Romanchuk, Ronnie (Margaret) Romanchuk, David (Debbie) Romanchuk and Brenda Romanchuk all of Edmonton; his stepchildren, Keith (Melodi) Lee and Deanne (Alick) McMillan, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harry also leaves his sisters Rose (Alex) Sarad, Eva Romanchuk, Nettie Bailey, Carol (Brian) Foot; his brothers Joe Romanchuk, Bob (Debbie) Romanchuk, Orest Romanchuk; his sisters-in-law Cecile and Marie Romanchuk, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
