Mildred Jones
JONES, MILDRED MARIE - 1935 - 2013 - Mildred Marie Jones, 78, who resided with her daughter Sherry in Mill Cove and was formerly of Shepody, Albert County passed away peacefully on April 7th, 2013 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Mildred was born in Hillsborough on March 5th, 1935 the daughter of the late William and Laura (Wilson) Tower. She was a member of the Mill Cove Church of God, her faith was very important to her. She worked for years in Fundy National Park at the Fundy Gill Gift Shop until her retirement. One thing about Mildred you never had to ask where you stood because she made her point of view very clear, sometimes when it was not asked for. She will be remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor. Mildred loved her family very much and thought the world of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were all very special to her. " Treasure all the memories made over the years." She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Willard Jr. Jones (Linda) of Nackawic, Craig Jones of Shepody; two daughters, Sherry Adamson (Robert) of Mill Cove and Melody Ferris (Steven) of Mill Cove; treasured eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Jody, Rachel, Jana, Rebecca, Charlotte, Robin and Kyle; her precious thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Steeves of Moncton, Doreen Steeves (Conrad) of Albert Mines, Nancy Steeves (Dwight) of Albert Mines, Linda Bannister of Ontario and Judy Gallagher of Calgary, AB; brother, Ronald Tower (Sharon) of Albert Mines. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Willard; brother, Gerald and sister, Paulette.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 at 3:00pm with Rev. Steven Ferris and Rev. Willard Jr. Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB, at a later date. Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to say a very special thank you to the staff of the Oromocto Public Hospital for the excellent care looking after Mildred, they were so kind and looked after her every need, it will never be forgotten.
