DOUCET, PIERRE - 1940 - 2013 - Pierre Doucet passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Dr. George L. Dumont University Hospital. Born in Almaville, PQ, he was the son of the late Roland and Isabelle Doucet. Pierre was a Pharmaceutical Rep. for over 40 years, having retired from Wyeth in 2005 after 35 years of service. Prior to his career in pharmacy, he served with the Royal Canadian Navy for 3 years. Pierre was an avid golfer, a member of the Country Meadows Golf Club, and in his spare time he enjoyed traveling with his wife and wood carving. He will be dearly missed by daughter, Maryse (Todd) Nelson; sons, John, Stephen (Anne Hébert); sisters, Lise and Guylaine; brothers, Maurice, Marcel, Paul, André and Daniel; and grandchildren, Chadwick and Skylar Nelson. Besides his parents, Pierre was predeceased by a brother, René, and his loving wife, Jacqueline, in February of this year.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007) on Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11am with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
