Bruce Taylor
TAYLOR, BRUCE WAYNE - Bruce Wayne Taylor, 69, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Bing and Dora (Gouchie) Taylor. Bruce worked at banking in several locations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and joined the Credit Union system in 1991. He spent many years as a member of Gyro International, served as an Officer in clubs in Dartmouth, Truro and Riverview and was elected District VI Governor in 2000. Bruce was also President and Treasurer of the Colchester YMCA in Truro. Together, Bruce and Anne enjoyed many years in Florida and at Ocean Surf in Pointe-du-Chene. Bruce will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend of over 46 years, Anne (Doucette) Taylor (formerly of Saint John); daughter Lori Taylor of Musquodoboit Harbour, NS; grandchildren, Alexander, Bryan, Jordi and Olivia; brother, Terry (Marguerite) of Amherst, NS and sister-in-law, Helen Davidson of Saint John. In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his son, Todd; grandmother, Greta Taylor; parents-in-law, Margaret and Louis Doucette.
Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with no visitation hours or funeral service by personal request. A Memorial Mass and reception will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church at a later date. In Bruce’s memory, donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.
