ERNEST YEADON

Ernest Yeadon passed away on April 8, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Born in Moose Jaw, Ernie spent his life here, and in Regina and Saskatoon. He married Pearl Larson on June 4, 1952. That same year he began employment with CFB Moose Jaw in the C.E. Section as a journeyman carpenter, and later as a maintenance inspector, retiring in 1985. He and Pearl then formed a small cleaning business. During his lifetime Ernie also worked as a locksmith, projectionist, and frontiersman. Ernie enjoyed life and remained active in a number of local groups. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the ANAVETS, the Canadian Army Veterans Motorcylce Unit (CAV), and various seniors groups in the city. He was also a very active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Ernie is predeceased by his father Frank (1976), mother Christina (2001), wife Pearl (1989), and an infant son (1953). Ernie is survived by his daughter Cheryl, son Darryl, and foster daughter Val Girard; grandchildren Jean, Justin, and Kyla and her children Madyson and Deegan. The Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Monday April 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Reverend John Kreutzwieser will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
