LEGER, MADELEINE - Cap-Pelé - At the Villa Providence in Shediac, on Friday, April 12th, 2013, passed away Madeleine Leger, wife of the late Aquila Leger (1987). She resided in Shediac but was originally from Cap-Pelé. Born March 18th, 1924 in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Landry and the late Léonie Gaudet. She is survived by her four children: Denise Goguen (Françis) and Roger (Rosella) all of Cap-Pelé, Ronnie (Andréa) of Grand-Digue and Bernard (Patricia) of Moncton; 11 grandchildren: Carole, Suzanne, Renelle, Natasha, Jeremy, Jean-François, Alexis, Heather, Angela, Annie and Jesse; five great grandchildren: Sofia, Noah, Marissa, Justin and Kohen; a brother, Ernest Landry (Thérèse) of Cap-Pelé; many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her special friend, Aimé. Besides her husband, Madeleine was also predeceased by three sisters and four brothers: Amanda, Thérèse, Marie-Louise, Azor, Jude, Camille, and Ambroise.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Sunday, April 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday, April 15th, from 9:30 am until time of departure to Ste-Thérèse d`Avila R.C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Madeleine, a contribution to the Parkinson Society of Canada or the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. cemetery would be appreciated.
