WILSON, THOMAS “TOM” AMOS - Suddenly at his residence on Friday April 12, 2013 Thomas “Tom” Amos Wilson of Brantford in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Joan Rickard for 57 years. Dear father of Andrew and Shari, Steven, Robert and Vicki. Cherished grandpa of Carly, Allison, Jordan and Ian and great-grandpa of Shea and Taya. Tom was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick and graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Civil Engineering. He spent his working career in the construction industry and was employed by the Flintkote Company of Canada for 15 years and the Construction Safety Association of Ontario for 24 years. Tom was a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, a Past Master of Reba Masonic Lodge #515 and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He was a member of St. Marks Anglian Church and the Brant Men of Song. During his retirement he enjoyed golfing and curling with the seniors at the Brant Curling Club and Northridge Golf Club and volunteering at the Brantford General Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St. Marks Anglican Church 155 Memorial Drive, Brantford. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. McCleister Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
