The death occurred peacefully at home in Skinners Pond surrounded by family on Monday April 15, 2013 of Esther M. Doyle aged 99 years. Beloved wife of the late James Doyle.
She was born in Palmer Road on Dec. 5, 1913, the daughter of the late Frank and Annie (McCue) McCallum. Cherished mother to Anne Shea, Waterford; Margaret (Edward) Profit, Summerside; Mark (Rosetta) Doyle, Tignish; Roy (Agnes) Doyle, Charlottetown; Claire MacPherson, Boston; Eddie (Brenda) Doyle, Skinners Pond; Christine Murray, Skinners Pond; John (Shirley) Doyle, North Cape; Angela (Ivan) Perry, Nail Pond; Leo (Sharon) Doyle, Skinners Pond; Phillip (Elaine) Doyle, Boston; Mary (David) Rioux, Summerside; Ray Doyle, Skinners Pond; and Marie (Nelson) Chaisson, Nail Pond. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Nancy Doyle of Boston. Loving grandmother to 42 grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Annie, husband James, son William, daughter Stella, grandsons Mark Profit, Todd Doyle, Keith Chaisson and a great-granddaughter Rayanne Rioux, sons-in-law Carl McLellan, Lennie MacPherson, Billy Murray, Donnie Shea, brothers Wilbert, Arnold, Henry, Harold and sisters Mary, Irene. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral will be held Thursday, April 18, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 11 a.m. Celebrant Rev. Jacques Rigaud. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Palmer Road CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 p.m.
