McGITCHIE, ELLA MARIE - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ella Marie (Cosman) McGitchie of Minto, NB. Surrounded by the love of her family, Ella passed peacefully on Thursday, April 18 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Debec NB on November 14, 1930. She was the daughter of Milladge and Jessie Cosman. Survived by her five children: June Collins (Barry) of Kitchener, Ontario, Gerri Marszalkowski (Andre) of Orilla, Ontario, Steve McGitchie (Karla)of Whitby, Ontario, Lorraine Robinson (Brian) of Minto, NB, Rick McGitchie (Lori) of Alton, Ontario; 12 grandchildren: Jason Collins, Jenny Collins, April McLaughlin, David Perry, Darrell Perry, Chad McGitchie, Brad McGitchie, Jessie Blair, Bradley Robinson, Hayley Robinson, Madison McGitchie, Cale McGitchie; 14 great-grandchildren: Jasper, Meadow, Lily, Jason, Mandy, Analise, Ty, Issac, Taylor, Micaiah, Austin, Liam, Lana and Quinn; also two sisters: Velma Reagon of McAdam NB, Gladys Hazel (Allison) of Canning NS; two brothers: Albert Cosman (Connie) and Wilbur Cosman (Patricia). She was predeceased by her husband, Basil McGitchie, son, Michael McGitchie, her parents, Milladge and Jessie Cosman, brothers: Floyd, Lewis and Walter Cosman, sisters: Jean McLaughlin, Elsie McKinney Barker (twin) and Mildred Hazel.
The family will receive visitors at Hogg Funeral Services, Minto NB on Monday, April 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm with service to follow at 4:30 pm in the Minto Community Chapel. Interment to follow at a later date in Marmora, Ontario. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cosman Club 11 in Ella’s memory would be appreciated by the family. www.hoggfunerals.ca
