ARSENEAU, BERTHA - With sadness the family announces the passing of Bertha Helen Arseneau, loving wife of the late George Arseneau which occurred on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at her residence. Born 1925 in St. Martin’s, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Cecilia (Marsh) Bennett. Bertha was employed as a secretary for Ocean Steel for 37 years, retiring in 1994. She is survived by her sons, Terry (Evelyn) of Lakeside, NB and Tony (Debbie) of Saint John; daughter, Suzanne (John) Sprague of Virginia, US; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
