The passing occurred peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta, on July 9, 2008, of Heather (MacRae) Barton. Beloved wife of Garry Barton and foster-mother of Christine Tessier. Predeceased by her parents, George and Miriam MacRae of Charlottetown. Heather is survived by her sister, Shannon (Ron) Carmichael, Vernon River; and brothers, Scott (Kathleen) Coquitlam, B.C.; and Ian (Colleen) Cookston, Minnesota. Heather was a special aunt to Alison Carmichael, Erin Allaby, Brook, Teddy and Muira MacRae and grandmother of Austin Tessier. A private ceremony will be held in Calgary. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
