BRINE, RALPH J. - Ralph Joseph Brine, 79, of Cap-Pelé, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born May 20, 1933 in Shemogue, NB, he was the son of the late Hazen and Cora (White) Brine. Ralph was retired as the General Manager for Universal Electric in Bermuda. Papa Ralph’s greatest joy was to be surrounded by his family and the greenest of fairways. We will miss his humour, generosity, friendship, great presence and love. His was a life worth celebrating. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cécile (Arsenault); three sons: Danny (Laura) of Halifax, David (Karen) of Bermuda and Richard (Kerry) of Ottawa; ten beautiful grandchildren: Chantal, Julia, Joshua, Sarah, Olivia, Isaiah, Evelyn, Évangeline, Owen and Elena; a sister, Phyllis Melanson (late Valmont) of Cap-Pelé; a brother, Floyd (Claudette) of Pictou, NS; two sisters-in-law: Elise (late Roy) and Edna (late Lester); many nieces, nephews, family and special friends in Cap-Pelé and Bermuda. He is also predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Ruby (late Arthur), Pearl (late Eustache), Doris (late Joseph) and Gertrude (late Ollie).
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Tuesday, April 23 from 7 to 9 pm, and Wednesday, April 24 from 9:30 am until departure for Ste-Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
