Passed away suddenly on April 17, 2013 in Las Vegas while vacationing with his wife and friends. Tom Gillis, age 62 years. Predeceased by his parents, Donald and Mary Gillis and siblings: Isabelle and twin brothers. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, his devoted wife of 40 years, Marilyn (nee Bateman); loving daughters: Tonya Freeman (Steve) and Taryn Gillis (Brian Foley): precious grandchildren, who lit up his life: Jenna, Leah and Cole Freeman and Evan Foley; along with five brothers, seven sisters, many nieces, nephews, otherdear relatives and a large circle of friends. Tom’s contagious smile and kind and sincere manner will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Resting at Carnell’s Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from Holy Family Church, Paradise, on Wednesday April 24,2013 at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery,Topsail.
