Of St. John’s, NL, born of St. Mary’s, St. Mary’s Bay, surrounded by family, Kenneth (Aloysius) Tobin, age 69 years, passed peacefully at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre after a courageous battle with cancer on April 20, 2013. Leaving to mourn his wife Sandra (Locke), sons Jim (Lisa), Shawn (Joanne) and Mark (Lori) and pet dog Jodi. Grandchildren: Emma and Sydney. His beloved brothers Cyril (Audrey), sister Ann (White) and brothers-in-law Peter (Hilda), Edward (Dorothy), Frank (Joan), Seumas and sister-in-law Ida. Predeceased by his parents Angela and James Tobin, his brothers Peter, Leonard, Bill, Adrian and James, his sister Marjorie, his brothers by marriage Ed White, Allan and Ron Locke, and sisters by marriage Theresa, Betty and Joan Tobin. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday, April 22, and Tuesday, April 23, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Military Road, with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or the Candlelighters Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
