After a short illness, passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Dearly loved husband of Carol. Dear son of Marie and the late Sidney Nichols of Sydney, N.S. Survived by his sisters, Brenda (Kevin), Gayle (Vincent) and Janice (Allan); brother, Ervin. Nieces and nephews, Mark, Janet, Terri C., Craig, Meggan and Austin. Sadly missed by great-nieces and nephew, uncles, aunts, cousins and by Eva Wardman and family, close friends and colleagues from Sydney and Toronto.
Cedric left home at a young age to come to “the big city of Toronto†and retired as a CN locomotive engineer.
Nick’s favourite pastime was his love of baseball and his many, many close teammates. He was a quiet person, but always lent a helping hand.
Special thanks to Toronto Western and Princess Margaret hospitals for their special care and also Dr. David Caplan.
Funeral service took place in Toronto on Feb. 8, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitney Pier Boys and Girls Club.
