Clarence Johnson
Clarence passed away April 15 at the age of 85. Born in Sackville N.B., he was the eldest son of Raymond & Jennie (Hicks) Johnson.
He was avid outdoorsman and carpenter, spending his youth and adult years in Westcock and Johnson's Mills. He was married to Shirley Patterson of Cookville.
Clarence was a self-taught fiddler & guitar player. Although a shy performer, he was persuaded to play at events with the Johnson Family. He especially enjoyed going to his camp in Shackum and time spent with his grandchildren. He was well known for his opinionated spirit, animated story telling & ability to make you laugh.
He will be missed by his 3 children Judy (Mike) Barclay, Fall River, NS, Shelley (Brad) Dalzell, Surrey, BC, David (Sandra Black), Oromocto, NB; grandchildren Megan, Brett, David, Sarah, Michael & Molly; brother Tom (Barb), Westcock and sister Julia Beal, Amherst, NS. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Patterson), brother Cutter, and sister Carol (McElmon).
Thank you to friends & family, especially Brian Mitton and Jackie Vanthournout, as well as the staff of Red Cross Homecare & Sackville Memorial Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300).
