Victor "Pinky"  Dauvin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victor "Pinky" Dauvin of New Market, Ontario. He passed away at home on April 21, 2013. He was 67. Born in Sackville, he was the son of the late Victor and Connie (MacKinnon) Dauvin.
Pinky started his career as a musician in Sackville playing drums with the Continentals and playing at the Sackville Fire Station every Friday night.
In January 1966, he left Sackville for Toronto to play drums for the Stitch in Tyme and later, in 1969 he joined Lighthouse as lead vocalist on their first three albums. he also enjoyed a solo career from 1972-1974. In later years he worked at Cardinal Golf course and most recently at Chem-Line Plastics.
Pinky enjoyed all sports especially golf and hockey and was an avid Boston Bruins fan.
He will be greatly missed by wife Susan (Porter) Dauvin, and daughter Vikki (Mike) Borja, granddaughter Chyanne of Barrie Ont, brother Rickey (Rose) Dauvin of Sackville, and sister Donna (Gary) Wiley of Oak Bay NB. He was pre deceased by a nephew Jason Wiley.
Cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held by request. A memorial service & celebration of his life will be held in New Market and also one in Sackville at a date to be determined.
