Mary Yaremczuk passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Celtic Court, Sydney.
Born in the Ukraine, Mary moved to Canada in 1949.
She was a member of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Whitney Pier. In Mary’s younger years she enjoyed gardening. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be sadly missed by her only daughter, Shirley Yaremczuk, Whitney Pier, and several nieces and nephews in the Ukraine.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Andrew.
Visitation for Mary will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, April 29 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Panachyada at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 30 at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Whitney Pier. Rev.Roman Dusanowskyj will officiate. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
