Mary Jimima Campbell, 81, Sydney Mines, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late John and Nelda (Roy) MacKinnon. She was a member of Immaculate Conception parish, Sydney Mines.
She is survived by her children, Mary Lou (Gordon Moore), Leo (Bonnie) Campbell, Judeth (Rene) Gionet, Paul (Laura) Campbell & Christa (Mark) Head; her grandchildren, Jason, Leo Jr., Erica, Megan, Danielle, Katelyn, Paul Jr., Russie & Stephen and great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Emma, Madison, Nya, Hades, Soleil, Hailey & Chloe. Also surviving are her brothers, Andrew (Agnes) MacKinnon and Francis (Louise) MacKinnon and sister, Florence (the late LeRoy) Johnson.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis Johnston Campbell; her sisters, Ann Morrison, Jeanie Cantwell, Margaret O'Neil, Madonna Coleski and Johnena Moore and her brother, Archie MacKinnon.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Sydney Mines with Fr. Thomas John officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
