MAY, PAMELA - With sadness the family announces the passing of Pamela H. (Steeves) May, beloved wife of Thomas May which occurred on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Bobby's Hospice, after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Born 1956 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Constance (Murphy) Steeves. Besides her husband, Thomas, she is survived by her daughter, Andrea Zaionz and granddaughter, Amy; son, Evan; sister, Darlene (Steven) Duncan; and brother, Jeffrey; numerous nieces and nephews. Pamela was employed with Canada Revenue Agency for 37 years. She was an active lifelong member of Kings Way Assembly and Calvary Temple. She volunteered for Kings Way Care Centre and Kennebec Manor and was very proud of her donation to enable the purchase of the wheelchair accessible bus at Kennebec Manor. She loved to travel, see other countries and experience different cultures. Pamela was involved in missions, supporting several disadvantaged overseas children and through her cards and calls, encouraged ailing friends and acquaintances.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at Kings Way Assembly, 7 Kings Way Drive, Quispamsis on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:00 am with a time of fellowship to follow at the church.
