GALLANT, JEAN (JOHNNY) MAURICE - 1949-2013 - KOUCHIBOUGUAC, NB - Jean Gallant, 63, of Kouchibouguac passed away suddenly on Monday, April 29, 2013. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Thomas (Tom) and late Clara (Babin) Gallant. Jean was employed as a woodsman and had a Christmas Tree business for over 20 years. He was the Manager of the Dieppe Farmers Market for six years. Jean will be sadly missed by his wife, Germaine (Thibodeau) Gallant of Kouchibouguac; three daughters, Line Gallant-Hébert (Claude) of Miramichi, Louise Gallant (Jody Stevens) of Fox Point, NS, Laura Budd (Stephen) of Dieppe; one son, Luc Gallant (Gisele) of Aldouane; five grandchildren, Westin, Janica, Belize, Maryse, Logan; and father-in-law, Léo A. Thibodeau of Moncton. Jean is also survived by two sisters, Helen Girouard (late Ray) of Irishtown, Jeanne Pellerin (Louis) of Dieppe; two brothers, Paul Gallant (Heather), Thomas Gallant (Camilla), both of Dieppe; and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by one daughter, Clara; and his mother-in-law, Annette (Bourgeois) Thibodeau.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday at noon until time of funeral. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm, Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto. Arrangements are in the care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
