The family of the late Barbara Joan Smith would like to express a heartfelt thanks for the ­overwhelming amount of love and support we received at this ­difficult time.

To everyone who sent cards, ­flowers, food, kind messages and made donations to the Lung Society; words cannot express our gratitude. We are very ­fortunate to have such loving and caring people in our lives. A special thanks to her great-grandchildren, Danielle and Andrew, who read in the church and her grandson Trevor who sang at the funeral home. You all did an excellent job.

To the nursing staff on 3B and Palliative Care, thank you for the care given while she was in the hospital. And to Dr. Coulton, thank you for taking care of her for so many years. We greatly appreciate everything you all have done for her. To Dwayne and Country Haven Funeral Home, we will never forget your ­compassion, kindness and your professionalism. We feel you went above and beyond to help us through this difficult time and for this we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
