Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on April 28th after a short illness. She was predeceased by her parents Egdar and Lillian Collins of Hare Bay, and brothers Philip, Wilfred, Rowland and Quince. Leaving to morn her passing are her husband Daniel Melendy; daughter, Marie (Rick LeBlanc) of St. John’s; sons, Fred (Brenda) of Mt. Pearl, Dean (Darlene) of Fall River N.S. ; grandson, Justin; brothers, Pearce (Ella), and Baxter (Elizabeth), along with a number of nieces & nephews and a wide circle of friends. The family would like to thank all who have given so much support during this difficult period. We appreciate the loving care and attention of the staff of the ICU with special thanks to Nurse Kerrilynn LeDrew. Shortly before her death, Jane (mom) had spent a period of time being cared for by the staff of Bonnews Lodge; she was able to enjoy her time there due to the kindness of the nursing and support staff, her roommate Marjorie, and the regular visits of her family and friends. Many thanks to all of you. Memorial service to be held on May 9th at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lumsden.
