David 'Bruce' Gushue

David Bruce Gushue, 63 of Sydney, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Whalen) Gushue, Sydney.
David was a very religious person and in his younger years, a very talented musician.
He is survived by his former wife, Evelyn Dunn; son, David (Kathy); daughters, Corinnea Sampson and Lisa; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Addie), Raymond, Terry, Robert; sisters, Carol (the late James Lahey), Teresa (Joe Gale), Janette (the late Jack Fletcher), Marlene (John Dixon), Kim (Albert Harriet), Brenda (John Aucoin) and Dottie (Andrew MacNeil). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Patrick; sisters, Florence Smiley, Linda Colbourne, Debbie Janes and granddaughter, Megan.
There will be no visitation. A private family service will take place at a later date.
