William ‘Roger’ Adams, 72 of Kingston passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Born in Sydney, N.S., he was a son of the late George and Georgette (Gaudet) Adams. Roger retired after 31 years as a firefighter with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #98 Kingston and the Greenwood Amateur Radio Club “VE1 VK” and he enjoyed meeting “the boys” for coffee every day at the A&W. Roger loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Sandra ‘Sandy’ Tupper; daughters, Lori Adams, Eastern Passage and Dayna LeBlanc, Halifax; sisters, Gayle (Donnie) Campbell and Judy (Kenny) Jones, both of Sydney; brother, Murray (Sharon) Adams, West Mount, N.S.; grandchildren, Alexander Gauthier, Benjamin Gauthier and Drew LeBlanc and several nieces and nephews. Roger will be sadly missed by his buddy Dakota.
He was predeceased by his parents. Cremation has taken place. A legion tribute will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #98 Kingston. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. By request, family flowers only.
Donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Celiac Society of Canada or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
