Benjamin, Annie" Marion" – 85, of Berwick passed away in Grand view Manor on May 8, 2013. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Nellie (Craig) Slauenwhite. She attended the Maritime Bible Institute, was a member of the Aylesford United Baptist Church, was a former member of the W.M.S and was active in the church youth programs. Marion is survived by sister, Verna (late Armind) Davis, grandsons Peter and Ryan Schnare, step sons Wilbert and Norman Benjamin, step grandchildren Shyla and Charity, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by husbands Graham Schnare, William Weir and Wilbert Benjamin; sons Arthur and Ronald Schnare; brother Rev. Clyde Slauenwhite; brother-in-law Lester Hatt; sister, Helen Hatt; sister-in-law Irene Slauenwhite and niece Patricia Brannen. A visitation took place on Monday May 13th from 7-9 at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel. A Funeral service took place on Tuesday, May 14th at 2 pm at the Aylesford United Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Lowe officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Aylesford United Baptist Church Building Fund (Box 120, Aylesford, NS, B0P 1C0).
