RUDOLPH- Catherine Jean (Nee Wallace) August 14,1924 - January 21, 2013. Jean passed away peacefully at her home in Saskatoon, on Monday January 21, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Jean was predeceased by her parents, James and Anna Wallace; in laws, Grover and Mae Rudolph; husband, Bob (Robert); brothers, Sam and Jack Wallace; brother in law, Mitchell Rudolph; and sons, Doug and Jack. Jean is survived by her sister, Sarah Helen (Kitty) Baumann of California; sisters in law, Norma and Josie Wallace and Pearl Rudolph; son, Dave (Daphne) of Regina; daughters, Ann McLennan of Calgary, Dorothy (Cam) Hood of Saskatoon, and Jeaneen Rudolph (Brian Houston) of Kelowna; daughters in law, Teri Rudolph of Saskatoon, and Pat Rudolph of Kelowna; grandchildren, Darrell (Rose), Jason (Laurie) Rudolph of Regina, Nathan (Rene) Rudolph of Lacombe, Jarret (Tanya) Rudolph of Kelowna, Sam McLennan of Red Deer, Sydney Houston of Montreal, Mackenzie and Eli Houston of Kelowna, Mitchell (Carissa) Rudolph of Saskatoon; and seven great grandsons and three great granddaughters; along with several nieces and nephews and their families. Jean was born on August 14,1924 in Vanguard, SK and was raised in Braddock, and then later moved to Swift Current to complete high school, where she met her husband Bob Rudolph of Gull Lake, SK. They were married in 1944 and together raised six children. They then moved from Gull Lake to Regina and then later to Saskatoon. Jean worked in retail and then for the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, meeting many people who will remember her friendly, giving nature. She retired in 1989 and continued to live in Saskatoon, keeping in touch with the many friends who were a part of her life. Jean was always busy with many hand made crafts and baking that she loved to do, which were for the benefit and enjoyment of her family, friends, and acquaintances. Jean loved life, laughter, and had an undaunting and independent spirit. She will be greatly missed by her loving family who were the joy of her life, and the friends who remain to mourn and remember her . The Memorial Service will be held Saturday July 6, 2013 at the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Reverend Ruth McArthur officiating the organist was Nora Rudolph. The Interment Service will be held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jean.
