DOIRON, PHILIPPE - 1917 - 2013 - Philippe Doiron, 96, of Manoir de la Bute, Cap-Pelé, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in Trois-Ruisseaux, May 13th, 1917, he was the son of the late Adolphe and Amanda (Doiron) Doiron. A retired plumber, Philippe was a veteran of the 2nd World War, Royal Canadian Army having served on Vancouver Island. He is survived by his three sisters: Diana Doiron of Cocagne, Thérèse (Ernest) Landry of Dupuis Corner and Jeaninne (Aquila) Saulnier of Moncton, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Alice LeBlanc, Émelda Babineau and Hermance Niles; two brothers: Neri and Robert.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé, on Wednesday, May 15th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé, on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in parish cemetery. In memory of Philippe, a contribution to the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Cemetery would be appreciated.
