STEWART, JUNE W. - June W. Stewart, 84, of ProTem Health Services and formerly of Waverly Avenue, Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Eva (Haines) Keirstead. June spent all of her life serving people. She worked as a sales clerk for Woolworth’s, Metropolitan Stores and K-Mart. June was a dedicated member of her church, the Moncton Wesleyan Church, for sixty years, where she truly enjoyed phoning all church members and wishing them well on their birthdays and anniversaries. She loved going to church on Sundays and regularly attended church groups. June will be sadly missed by her son, Michael (Louise) of Paradise, NS; precious grandchildren, Kyle (Candace) of Calgary, AB, Craig of Sudbury, ON and Lindsay (Dave) of Rimbey, Alberta; two cherished great grandchildren, Maya and Reid of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law, Myrtle Stewart (late Bob); nieces, Donna Stewart, Candy MacLoughlin (Joe), Kim Cormier (Maurice) and Vicky Robichaud (Louie). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold Stewart (February 2001). Special thanks to the staffs at The Moncton Hospital and ProTem Health Services, as well as close friends Judy and Ralph LeBlanc and Wayne and Jessica Morton for the love and care shown to June.
Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), with no visitation hours by personal request. A Celebration of Life Service for June will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 am, with Pastor L.D. Buckingham officiating.
