WILKINS, LAURA - Laura M. Wilkins, 80, of Wickham, and formerly of Sussex Corner, passed away peacefully at the Great Oaks Special Care Home on May 15, 2013. Born in Walker Settlement, she was a daughter of the late John and Mabelle (nee Cunningham) Anderson. Laura is survived by her daughters: Shirley (Dick) McLeod of Penobsquis, Enid (George) Adair of Waterford, and Ruth Parker (Dennis Belliveau) of Sussex Corner; grandchildren: Scot (Diana) Adair, Terry (Julie) Adair, Jeff (Heather) McLeod, Julie Johnston (Clint Lawson), and Miranda Murray (Mike Whiteside); eight great grandchildren; her sister, June Tabor; sister-in-law, Lillian Anderson; brother-in-law, Edward Dalling; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Besides her parents, Laura was predeceased by her husband Harry Wilkins; son, Ronald Wilkins; sister, Irene Dalling; brothers: Edgar, Harry, Curtis, Oscar and Earle Anderson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm; the funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00am with Rev. Eugene Fisher presiding all at Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at the Trinity Anglican Cemetery.
