It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Joe worked as a steelworker until his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Amelia; sons, Joseph Jr. and Wesley (Darlene); daughter, Debbie Manning; grandchildren, Albert, Katherine, Shalene and JD and great-grandchildren, Alannah, Chucky, Karlies, Justin, Jocelyn, Karmin and Joyce. Also survived by his siblings, George, Marie Muise, Edgar (Mary), Ted (Sharon), Mattie (Theresa), Harry (Carol), Hilda (Melvin) Hillier and Winnie Larade.
Joe was predeceased by his daughter, Susan, parents, Matt and Levenia and siblings, Frank, Gordie, Lorraine, James and Mabel.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date.
