SAULNIER, BERTHA (DAIGLE) - 1931-2013 - RICHIBUCTO, NB - Bertha (Daigle) Saulnier, 81, passed away at the Foyer Lisa Allain in Bouctouche on May 17, 2013. She was born October 15, 1931 in Kent Lake, Kent Co., daughter of the late Antoine V. and Sarah (Leger) Daigle. She will be sadly missed by daughters, Lisa Stewart (Darren), Richibucto-Village and Christine Saulnier (Michel Gallant), Halifax. She leaves behind six grandchildren, Jamie Stewart (Tara Moore), Milton, Ont., Shawn Stewart, Richibucto-Village and Dustin Cail and Madeleine, Gabriel and Rémi Saulnier-Gallant, Halifax; and one great-grandchild, Evan (Milton, Ont). She is also survived by three sisters, Bernadette LeBlanc, Moncton and Cécile Pietraszko (Pete), Aldouane and Germaine Comeau, Richibucto; and three brothers, Alphonse and Ernest (Stella), Moncton and Roméo, Barachois; and many nieces and nephews, including special nephew Gary Daigle, Charlottetown. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Basil Saulnier (1976); and daughter, Sandra (1993); four sisters, Marguerite, Aline, Rose-Eva and Alma; one half-sister, Béatrice; three brothers, Gerald, Alderic and Roger; and two half-brothers, Ben and Irènée.
As per Bertha's wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague R. C. Church, Richibucto. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. Donations in Bertha's memory can be made to the Terry Fox Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
