It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our special son, Jason Mark Leon, formerly of Sydney, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at La Residence Cap Rouge, Cheticamp.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of Roger and Eva (Roper) Leon.
Throughout his lifetime, Jason was employed with the Regional Occupational Centre, Port Hawkesbury, Horizon Achievement Centre, Sydney, Best of Cape Breton, Sydney and Green Door, Cheticamp. He was a member of Holy Rosary parish, Westmount.
Besides his loving parents, Jason is survived by his sister, Amy (Trevor White), Port Hawkesbury; nephews, Brett and Andrew; birth mother, Mary Gillis; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Fanny Leon and John and Rhoda Moore.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday 10 a.m., with Rev. Doug Murphy officiating. Interment in Baddeck Forks Cemetery.
