It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Rogers on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Dick and Nellie Rogers.
John is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carol Anne (née MacArthur); sons, Matthew (Nancy) and Tony (Michelle); grandsons, Spencer and Jackson; brothers, Rick (Marilyn) and Al (Charlotte) and close family members, Kathy Wodoslawski-Kondur and her son, Michael.
John spent much of his life in Cape Breton, before moving to Ontario. He was an avid golfer, a skilled woodworker, and an amateur pilot. He enjoyed riding roller coasters, playing his banjo, and offering a song for every situation. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and he had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of his third grandson in June.
