Viola ‘Oie’ (MacDonald) MacLaughlin passed peacefully away in Comox, B.C. on May 22, 2013.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late John H. ‘Tudie’ and Annie (Doucette) MacDonald. Oie graduated from Mount Carmel High and served with the Canadian Armed Forces at several locations in Canada in the 1950s and 60s. Since the mid-1970s, she resided in British Columbia.
She is survived by her husband, Gerry and three children, Debra, Michael and Dennis; her brothers, Hilary, John and William and sisters, Anne (Macleod) of New Waterford and Juanita (Lee Sage) of Brantford, Ont.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Ronnie and sisters, MaryAnn and Catherine (MacGillivary).
Cremation has taken place.
