Peacefully after a short struggle with cancer on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at the age of 77, with her loving family by her side.
Adored wife of Norman Geddes of 12 years. Beloved mother of Michael (Linda) Taylor, Clayton (Heather), Alphonse (Judy), Darrell (Emy), Terry Whiteside, Patty (Al) Green, Bobby (Arlene).
Predeceased by daughter, Roberta Maitland, son Wade and sister Netty.
Cherished Grandma to 19 grandchildren and Granny to 21 great-grandchildren. Loving sister to Stanley (Pat), Dorothy (Keith), Henry (Rosemary), Sonny (Bev), Geneva (Mike), Cecilia (Jim), and John (Kim). Also survived by her many family members and close friends.
Peggy was a member of the Merriton Royal Canadian Legion No. 138 and Unit No. 44 Canadian Corps Association in Thorold. Peggy was a devout Catholic and is now in the arms of God in heaven.
Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. on Friday between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
