Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, May 29th, 2013, Orpah Kirby (nee Reid), age 81 years. Predeceased by her infant son James Samuel Kirby, grandson Murray Kirby, parents: William James and Rosa Bell Reid, grandparents: John and Eva Reid. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband James; children: Robert Kirby (Carol), Ronald Kirby (Sharon), Patricia Walden (Steven) and Gloria Kirby; grandchildren: Stephanie Pottle (Robert) and Mitchell Reid; great-grandchildren: Leah Pottle and Micah Pottle; brother-in-law Harvey Kirby; sister-in-law Ethel Thompson; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
