The moonlight and the sunshine, so beautiful to see,
The twinkling stars, the planets, all this God made for me.
To adore the earth in beauty, for all the things that he placed here,
His garden o so beautiful, for all of us to Share.

It is with heavy heart we announce the peaceful passing of Blandford ‘Blannie’ Wells, in the early morning hours of June 3, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Newfoundland, he is the son of the late John and Sarah (Frampton) Wells.
Passionate about the sea, Blannie would help his father tie up ships at the dock yard until he started sailing on and off for five years in 1951. He then worked on the piers as a Ship Linesman until he retired in 1983. In addition to the sea, Blannie had a great love for reading and writing and has produced many poetry works and stories to be enjoyed by his family for years to come.
Blannie is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (MacVicar); his children, Brenda (Robert) Franklin of Chester, N.S., Duncan (Theresa) Wells, Donald (Edith) Wells, Gina (Brian) Wells of Sydney.
In addition to his parents, Blannie was predeceased by his son, Phillip Conrad.
He leaves behind eight beautiful grandchildren, Sarah, Laura, Luke, Danielle, Onna, Dylan, Karlee and Seanna.
Upon Blannie’s request, there will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Hardwood Hill Cemetery in his honour.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s society.

For God’s true love, his sacrifice
We can live for evermore.
