1949 - 2013
Passed suddenly but peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, Mrs. Barbara Ann Parsons of Butlerville, aged 63 years. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In 1968 Barbara married the love of her life, John Parsons and together were blessed with their two children, Traci (Barbara’s best friend as well as daughter) and Bobby. In April of 2007 Barbara and John faced tragedy with the accidental death of their only son Bobby. On that day a little bit of Barbara died too. However with courage and a strong will she rallied and cherished her close relationship with Bobby’s three children, Ashley, Geoffrey, and Rachel who will now miss their grandmother’s presence in their lives. Remembering her with fond and loving memories are her loving husband John; daughter Traci (Art) Sherren; grandchildren: Ashley, Geoffrey, and Rachel; daughter-in-law Ruby; sisters Mona (Byron) Elms, Anita (Dave) Elms, Shirley (Aubrey) Coombs; brother Rodger Hawkins. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation: Thursday: 2 – 5 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m., Friday: 10 – 12 noon; 2 –5 p.m.; and 7 – 9 p.m., Saturday: 10 – 12 Noon. Funeral service will take place at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Shearstown on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with inurnment at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Barbara Parsons Family Memorial Fund.
