Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, Mrs. Julia F. Gushue of Spaniard’s Bay, age 79 years. Predeceased by her husband James, son Paul, infant son Michael Kenneth, parents Arthur and Gertrude Higgins, sister Doris and grandson Tyler Bradbury. Leaving to mourn are sons and daughters: Jimmy (Gloria, deceased), Marion (Edmund Porter), Carol Bradbury (Randy Noonan), Judy (Norman Puddister), Edward (Nora), David (Karen), Linda (Brian Mercer); three brothers: Albert (Dot) Higgins, John (Melita) Higgins and Bill Higgins; two sisters: Violet (Weldon) Stoyles and Freda Warren; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Lynch’s Funeral Home Spaniard’s Bay. Visitation Thursday, June 6, 2 - 5 p.m., 7 - 9 p.m.; Friday, June 7, 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 - 5 p.m., 7 - 9 p.m.; Saturday, June 8, 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Funeral service Saturday, June 8, at 2 p.m. from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Spaniard’s Bay. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
