EISENGRUBER, Josef Paul – 64, of Meadowvale formerly of Annapolis Royal passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Blomidon Court, Greenwich. Born in Traunstein, Germany he was a son of the late Kurt and Ernestine (Scheurer) Eisengruber. Josef was an Optometrist and owned Emins of Annapolis Royal. He loved travelling and enjoyed collecting stamps, coins and post cards. Josef was very fond of photography and his dream was to immigrate to Canada. He is survived by his wife, Brigitte and daughter, Michaela Eisengruber, both of Meadowvale, NS and sons, Herbert (Beth) Eisengruber, Calgary, AB and Matthias (Miriam) Eisengruber, Cologne, Germany and granddaughter Maja. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Michael Mugford officiating. Interment will be in Tremont Cemetery. Donations in memory of Josef may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Mental Health Association.
