STELLARTON – Ruby Ruth Servos, 84, of Stellarton, NS, passed away June 7, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Trott) Whytewood.
Ruby retired from the Lincoln County Board of Education in St. Catharines, Ontario. She travelled a lot, including a four year posting with her husband in Europe with the R.C.A. F. Ruby loved bingo and her family.
She is survived by her husband Ronald of over 50 years, daughters: Julie Nisbett, Stellarton; Janet Mosher, Halifax; Joan (Ron) Dittrich, St. Catharines; brothers: Harold (Anne), Stellarton; John, Hamilton; Sam (Alice), New Glasgow; sisters: Marsha (Paul) Lisk, Kingston, ON; Linda Hatfield, New Glasgow; Maggie Doucette, Dartmouth; grandchildren: Brittany Nisbitt, Amanda Nisbett, Lindsay Mosher and Valerie Dittrich.
She was predeceased by brothers Stan and Allan; sisters: Patricia (Seby), Eleanor (Dearie), Mary (Bunny) and Norma.
Cremation to take place. No visitation or funeral by request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruby may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
