Audrey was born and raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia, and received her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Mount Allison University in 1950. She married Lloyd on August 20, 1955 and made PEI her permanent home in 1965. Audrey spent many years living in “Ravenwood House” on the Experimental Farm, when Lloyd was Director of the Canada Agriculture Research Station in Charlottetown. It was there that she entertained friends, family and many distinguished guests to our province, including several members of the Royal Family.
Audrey will be remembered for her kind and gracious nature, her fabulous cooking and love of entertaining, her wide circle of friends and involvement in the community, and for being such a loving wife and mother, and proud and indulgent grandmother.
