It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Joseph Fraser on Friday, June 7, 2013.
Born in Sydney Mines on Nov. 14, 1945, he was the son of the late Maurice and Philomena Fraser of Bras d’Or.
Ronald worked as a heavy equipment operator, retiring from Parks Canada of Ingonish. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his little buddy, Newt.
Surviving are his common-law partner, Bev Raoul; Joy Fraser and his children, John (Brenda) Fraser, Shenacadie, Dorothy Fraser (Larry), Alberta, Dan Fraser, Ontario, Moffat Fraser, North Sydney, Mary Fraser (Toni), Ontario; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Eric Fraser, Greg (Lena) Fraser, Clayton (Debbie) Fraser; sister, Madlynn (Jim) Hall; several nieces and nephews; stepson, Ronnie and step-grandchildren, Chelsie and Morgan.
Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his brother, Carl Fraser and sister-in-law, Phyllis Fraser.
There will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at a later date.
