SACKVILLE, N.B- It is with sadness, but peace of heart that the family of Wayne Ray Estabrooks, announce his passing at his home, on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Wayne was 67 years of age.
Born on September 18, 1945 in Point de Bute, N.B., he was the son of the late Raymond and Eva (Doherty) Estabrooks.
Wayne was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church and was on the Board of Trustees for fifteen years until the present. He enjoyed his daily walks, curling and taking his Mum for drives and picnic lunches. Wayne will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, Nellie Johnson of Sackville, N.B., Ella Doherty of Sackville, N.B., Audrey (Rufus) Reid of Charlottetown, PEI, Frances Card of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Dolores Doherty of Sterling, Massachusetts, as well as many cousins in Canada and the USA.
He was pre-deceased by his father and mother, Raymond Estabrooks and Eva (Doherty) Estabrooks.
Arrangements were entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation took place on Friday, June 14, 2013, from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service was held at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating. Burial took place in the Sackville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wayne may be made to the Main Street Baptist Church, SPCA or to the charity of one’s choice.
