COVEY- Eva Alice Covey, age 91, of Swift Current and formerly of Beechy, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013. Eva was born on May 30, 1922, at Macrorie, SK, to John & Marie Bodrug. Eva was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Verdun Covey, in April of 1986; and by her granddaughter, Natalie Covey, in 1997. She is survived by her six children, Janice (Rob) Scott, Omega, SK, Judy Covey-Duncan, Portland, OR, USA, Lorrel (Maureen) Covey, Beechy, SK, Leila Covey, Raleigh, NC, USA, Wendy Crouch, Swift Current, SK, Edmund (Roberta) Covey, Ituna, SK; her fourteen grandchildren; her sixteen great-grandchildren; and by her sisters, Ruby (Sigvald) Jordheim, Kyle, SK and Velma Price, Port St. John, BC.The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Swift Current Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK, with Pastor Roy Uffindell officiating. Readings were shared by Melayna Covey, Jennifer Baxter and Kimberley Covey. The eulogy and tributes was brought by Family members. The Honorary Bearers were granddaughters, Michelle Scott, Jennifer Baxter, Melayna Covey and Kimberley Covey. The Interment Service was held at the Lance Valley Cemetery, Beechy, SK with the following serving as pallbearers, Les Covey, Brad Baxter, Caalen Covey, Trent Bassendowski, Greg Fusick and Michael Yanush.
