Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on June 28, 2013, Mrs. Cicely Applin of Pigeon Cove, NL, at the age of 80 years. Left behind with many cherished memories are her children Goldie (Scott), Eileen (Alton), Evelyn (John), Barry (Pam), and Wade (Alvina); as well as seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers; four sisters; special family members Hilda Randell and Brandon Kelly, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George (1993). Visitation took place at the Edgar Applin Sr. Memorial Church in Pigeon Cove, from which the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 1st with Rev. John McGonigle, DM officiating. Burial followed the service in the United Church Cemetery in Black Duck Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
