The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, of Joseph Albenie "Roy" Gautreau of Summerside and formerly of Toronto, Ont., aged 63 years. Roy was born on Dec. 22, 1949, in Toronto, Ont., to his father Narcisse of Summerside and his late mother, Anita (nee Cormier) Gautreau. Beloved father of Roy Jr. and loving grandfather of Trinity, both of Ontario. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Normand (Ginny) of Toronto, Ont., Eldon (Pauline) of Summerside, Daniel of Vancouver, Mona (Eldon) Arsenault of Summerside, Rachel Gautreau (Pierre) of Toronto, Ont., and Noella Gautreau (Leo) of Riverview, N.B. Also lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, July 8, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place at St. Philippe and St. Jacques Cemetery, Egmont Bay. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held. Memorial donations in Roy's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
